Dr. T. J. Gentry

Dr. T. J. Gentry is Sr. Pastor at First Christian Church. He is married to Amy and they are blessed with five children. T. J. is a graduate of Southern Illinois University (BA in Political Science), Luther Rice College and Seminary (MA in Apologetics), Holy Apostles College and Seminary (MA in Philosophy), Liberty University (MAR in Church Ministries, MDiv in Chaplaincy, ThM in Theology, PhD in Theology and Apologetics), North-West University (PhD in Theology with Missiology), and Carolina University (DMin in Pastoral Counseling, PhD in Leadership, PhD in Biblical Studies). He is the author of several books, including You Shall Be My Witnesses: Reflections on Sharing the Gospel; Absent from the Body, Present with the Lord: Biblical, Theological, and Rational Arguments against Purgatory; and Pulpit Apologist: The Vital Link between Preaching and Apologetics (all available on Amazon). He has been in Christian ministry since 1984, is a veteran of the United States Army as a Chaplain Assistant and a Chaplain, and holds board certification as a pastoral counselor. His life verse is Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live but Christ lives in me.”
