Dale Morey

After being in and out of jails, prisons, and rehabs for most of his life, Dale knew he had to try to change. While in prison he did everything in his power to change his life. He learned new things, was involved in different vocational programs, even attended bible studies. He made many salvation professions. However, he quickly came to realize, these changes were making him a better inmate, but not a true and productive member of society. Upon release he realized that nothing had changed in his life. The system, the correction officers, counselors, religion, and programs had failed to teach him what he needed.

Unfortunately soon after his release things started to fall apart, and he was on his way back to the old life and vices he knew.

A YEAR AFTER THIS LOW POINT IN HIS LIFE HE WAS GLORIOUSLY SAVED (In 2011), God truly transformed his life and heart. Soon after his salvation he knew the Lord was calling him into some form of ministry; but quickly realized it was going to be in God’s time and His way.

After being trained by his pastor for 5 years in April 2016, in the parking-lot of the Allegany County jail, God put a burden on Dale's heart for those in jails and prisons (Isaiah 61:1). This was when he knew that the Lord called him to preach the Word to those individuals in jail and show them there is hope for them and they too could have a changed life.

This developed into the ministry of "Liberty Behind Bars.." Today Dale Morey is a full time evangelist to prisoners across America and presents this ministry to churches that would invite him to share his testimony and work with prisoners who need Christ.

To help him in his ministry Dale has an earned Doctorate degree in counselling and has a tremendous outreach to prisoners in New York state and a virtual counselling ministry to prisoners across the country.
