Raised in the York area of Central Pa, Pastor Henise is no stranger to the midstate. His preaching ministry began in 1973 and has continued to this very day. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to serve in many capacities including church-planter, pastor, assistant pastor, college dean, and short-term missionary. He planted and pastored the Heritage Baptist Church of Manheim, PA, for 16 years. He has been joined on these many endeavors by his wife of more than 47 years, Mrs. Gloria Henise. They have been a friend to many. Pastor Henise has been a consummate student of the Word of God, earning a Doctorate in Ministry in 2005. He continues to labor as the Assistant Pastor at the Gospel Light Baptist Church of Millersville, PA, under the leadership of Pastor Andy Almanza.
In September 2009, he was instrumental in the commissioning of Pastor Brandon and Valerie to plant the Susquehanna Valley Baptist Church, established in Harrisburg, PA, October of 2010.
