Dr. Ronnie L. Baity is the founding Pastor of the Berean Baptist Church now located at 4135 Thomasville Road in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Church was officially begun on the second Sunday in November 1980. The Church was begun with 38 members and was originally located about 1 mile south of its present location near the intersection of Willard Road and Thomasville Road in a small "store front" building. The church now runs nearly 500 each Sunday and reaches souls for the cause of Christ through their local community through its Sunday School Classes, Bus Ministry and Christian School as well as its weekly television and radio broadcasts. Pastor Baity serves on numerous boards including the North Carolina Christian School Association and Emmanuel Baptist University. He is also a Police Chaplain for the Winston-Salem Police Department as well as a Chaplain for the local Internal Revenue Service. He is married to the former Linda Mathis of Winston-Salem. Pastor and Mrs. Baity have two children, Jeffrey and Penny, and five grandchildren.
