Elder Mike Strevel departed this life on March 10, 2006 at the age of 54. He was a faithful pastor and shepherd of God’s people for 29 years, serving as pastor of Ripley Primitive Baptist Church (Ripley, MS) for 26 years. He was an extraordinary teacher and spent 25 years shaping the lives of young people at Ripley Christian School.
