Daniel 12 "The Time of the End"

This is one of the most trying of the prophecies-Daniel 11 and 12. "At that time, Michael shall stand up.." What time is Daniel referring to? It must be referring to what was happening in chapter 11, and the last thing it was describing was the inevitable doom of that cruel king, Antiochus Epiphanes. That end will precede the coming of the resurrection. His end will bring about the resurrection and the "end of days."How do we "leap-frog" all the way over something that took place centuries before Christ, all the way to the end of the world?
