The Lord Is My Judge
17 Sermons

Is it better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes? (Ps. 118:9). Daniel and his friends prove as captives in the royal courts of Babylon that it certainly is. For it is no earthly ruler but the Lord whose judgments will ultimately stand. In fact, Daniel’s name means “the Lord is my judge.” Through redemptive history (chapters 1–6) and prophetic visions (chapters 7–12) the Book of Daniel emboldens and encourages the church as it directs our eyes to the Son of Man, who entrusted himself to him who judges justly (1 Pet 2:23) and whose kingdom will have no end.
