The kind of comfort we have in belonging to Christ is pictured in his ascension into heaven. The heads and hearts of his disciples had drooped in seeming defeat but now are lifted heavenward in victory as their eyes follow their risen and ascending Savior. At the right hand of the Father in heaven, he will be their help—reigning and ruling, governing and guiding, supplying and sustaining. We too, knowing we belong to the King of heaven, can face life and death with head and heart raised.
