"There is a huge difference between an intellectual knowledge of Christianity, an intellectual knowledge of God, and an experiential knowledge of God": that is all the difference in the world between the detached "Orthodox" Presbyterian Intellectual Country Club and this church or Truth Community Church in Cincinnati. "They don't have the love, they don't have the empathy, they don't have the heart of a real minister": they're just talking heads and lecturers rather than genuinely pastoral ministers as the Puritans, John Knox, Charles Spurgeon, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and even John Calvin himself were, in the Spirit of Christ Himself was. Thank you, Pastor Johnson, as always: this is why I am a Reformed Confessional Baptist rather than an empty-hearted "Orthodox" Presbyterian.

Realized who i am

Thank you for pulling together the fabric of John Marks life in the Scriptures for us and for the message of hope for parents whose hearts have been ripped from their in witnessing their kids leave God's will for their lives. What a joy to see a child return to Gods will. I pray i get to experience that joy. Love you much my Brother.

This sermon like all of them was really good!! I’m currently studying the book of Ephesians right now. I am on chapter 3. My favorite verses from chapter 2 are 4-10. I can’t wait to listen to more of your sermons from the book of Ephesians.

One of the best sermons I’ve heard in a long time! I am having our 10th grader listen to it for part of his school today, and I think we all need to hear this kind of truth regularly!

I became aware over 20 years ago of how many times God/Jesus says regarding His people, "They don't know Me." Jeremiah 9:23-24 was one of the verses that challenged me personally that my overriding focus was to know Him and to be known by Him. You are doing the church a great service by calling this to our attention.

Thank you for reminding me what a miracle of love and grace and God’s giving loving nature as the only reason He saves. As someone said in answer to the question of “why doesn’t He save everyone?” That isn’t the right question. The right question is: “considering what we all deserve by our nature and actions, why does He save any one?” Thanks for reminding of His love and grace and mercy.

Sound teaching about the grace that brings peace; all to the glory of God through Jesus, God's dear Son. It is all about God. Not about us.
