The CityView Baptist Church

Purpose
*To promote the Work, Person and Worship of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ the Head of the Church. Col. 1: 17-19, Eph. 3: 20-21

*To uphold the sacredness of worship to God who is manifested in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Ps. 95: 1-6, John 4: 24

*To promote holy living in the lives of those who are called from darkness to light; 1 Peter 1: 14 15

*To be separate from doctrinal error, such as charismatic beliefs, and uphold the doctrines of grace. Eph. 2: 1-9

Vision
*To be distinct among modern day mainstream evangelicals

*To preach Christ to whomever God directs us by way of missionary efforts at home and abroad.

Beliefs
*The Bible (Scriptures) is the inspired word of God, 2 Tim 3:16, Ps. 12: 6-7

*The depravity of man and the sovereignty of God in calling His elect, Jer. 13: 23, Jn. 6: 44

*The responsibility of man and his accountability before God, Acts 17: 30-31

*Salvation is by grace alone through faith. Eph. 2: 8-9

*Primary responsibility of the church: missions, Acts 1: 8
