As a young man, I found this sermon refreshing and stirring. If we all run in a race, yet only one receives the prize. . Paul says “run so that you may obtain.” (Corinthians) Thank you Pastor Bruce for a good reminder that as we find all of our strength and grace from the fullness of Christ, our lives will matter. They will not be wasted... even if God determines that they be short... Made me think of Leonard Ravenhills quote—“Only one life, twill soon be past,Only what is done for Christ will last...”“And when I am dying, how happy I shall be,If the lamp of my life, has been burned out for thee.”May God bless you and your congregation Pastor Bruce.
