Rev. John Koopman began his charge at the Free Reformed Church in Chilliwack, BC in July 2011. He previously served the congregation of the Free Reformed Church of St. Thomas, Ontario, where he had been ordained into the ministry of the Word in 1999. Prior to his ordination, Pastor Koopman received his education at the Theological College of the Canadian Reformed Churches. His love is for practical and applicatory preaching of the Word of God. His passion is that all would come to love the beauty of the Reformed faith which emphasizes the centrality of the LORD in all of life! He has been married to Sue since 1986 and they have been blessed with five children and eight grandchildren.
