Chris Starr grew up in Northwest Ohio in a preacher’s home. He was saved at the age of 9, and was called to preach during his years at Bible College. Chris has a B.A. in Pastoral Theology and a M.A. in Biblical Studies. He met his wife Jenny at college and they enjoy raising their 3 children. He has served as the assistant pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brogue, PA for 14 years before becoming the senior pastor in September, 2013. Presently the church averages around 280 in attendance. Mt. Zion is an old-fashioned, independent, Baptist Church that exalts the Savior, emphasizes Biblical preaching, and . His burden is to see God get glory in the church and to take heed to himself and to all the flock.
