Steven Lyon is the founding pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, which began in 1992 as a church plant effort of Bible Baptist Church of West Chester. He was saved at the age of 17 while still in high school. He is a 1981 graduate of East High School (West Chester). After two years of study at Penn State University, he transferred to Bible School. He is a 1988 graduate of Bible Baptist School of Theology, West Chester, Pennsylvania. He has served in a leadership position with the American Council of Christian Churches (Executive Council) and he currently serves on the Council of Ten for the Pennsylvania Association of Regular Baptist Churches. He married Mary Tomkiewicz in 1986 and they have two married daughters, two sons and one grandson.
