Chris Christian

Currently the pastor of Lewis Lane Central Baptist Church, in Church Hill, Tennessee, I have been in the ministry for thirty-seven years, pastoring in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia and working as an evangelist, between and during pastoring churches. I unabashedly still preach in what has been referred to as the Appalachian, mountain, southern or country, style of preaching. I do consider myself a country preacher and that's exactly the type of people I've always pastored; what's referred to in the rest of the country as blue collar, I suppose. Though I've had my chances to be what's called a full-time pastor, I passed them up and worked a secular job as well as pastoring, until 2015, when I retired from secular work. I am a husband and father of two sons, the eldest of which has recently entered the ministry.
