Walter Ralston Martin Jr. (1928-1989) was a prominent Christian apologist and the original "Bible Answer Man." He founded the Christian Research Institute (CRI) in 1960, which focused on apologetics and counter-cult information. His most famous work was the radio program "The Bible Answer Man," where he addressed questions about Christianity and cults. He also wrote several books, including the influential "The Kingdom of the Cults". Walter Martin's ministry inspired Larry Wessels of Christian Answers of Austin to begin his own Christian apologetics evangelism ministry.
