Bride of Christ

We are called the bride to highlight our role of submission, the importance of our purity (to make us beautiful to Christ), and faithfulness (no adulterous inclinations or interests or sympathies or tolerances). To remain faithful we must be vigilant and we must foster love for God. One thing that will do that is understanding His love for us, which is seen in His protective jealousy.
