Our God is Holy

None of us are special or perfect in everything and in every way, except for GOD. Our God is absolutely perfect in every way, for our God is HOLY. He is set apart, special. And what makes Him special is His perfections. He is absolutely pure. Thus, He is the determiner of what is right and wrong. Now men have responded in one of two ways to the holiness of God as illustrated in Isaiah 6. Two men-- Uzziah and Isaiah--both encountered the holiness of God. Uzziah responds like many today by profaning God's holiness, treating Him as common, disregarding His Law, and doing his own thing. There are many ways we profane God's holiness today through our words and actions. Man acts as if God does not exist. Isaiah, on the other hand, bowed humbly in God's presence, recognized his sinfulness, received cleansing, and then offered himself for service. We today can respond in one of two ways-- either blow off God or bow before God.
