The Person of the Holy Spirit – 02

1. The Declaration of His Person
   He is not an "it" or an "influence" but a Person who is to be worshipped, loved, trusted and obeyed, just as is the Father & the Son.

2. The Distinction of His Person
   The Father is not the Son and the Son is not the Father and neither of them is the Holy Spirit. He has personal attributes that can only be ascribed to Him.

3. The Deity of His Person
   He is given the names of God; described as One who is in posession of the attributes of God; He peforms works that only God can do.

All of this bears directly upon the believer's experience of the gospel and his enjoyment of God. To be in error about His Person is to be in error about His Work.
