quail there must be somewhere around 200 quail in the yard right now there are three standing right out there and another three over there I'm going to walk in here and see if I can Take a picture of them, there were between 100 and 200 or more out there. There may have been over 200 quail earlier. I gave them something to eat. Kitty. Kitty. There's quite a few there. They're all over the yard. They're talking to each other. Usually on top of the containers and everything. Looks like they might have eaten already and gone. Took me a little while to find the camera. There's close to a hundred out here by the containers. Today is the opening day of chukar season up here. And quail too, also I guess. They're pretty safe here. All out there by the tree line now. They run pretty fast. They're scared they'll fly. The wood pile is just covered with them. There's a kitty right here. Say hi, kitty. How did you get up here? There's quite a... quite a girl there. We'll do this video especially for Nancy, Justice, and Pennsylvania. Look this way kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty. And we got two baby kitties now. I'm gonna go take a video of them also. There's way over a hundred of them out there. There's more still coming. There's a massive quail out there. Something scared them coming the other way. We're moving everything up here from down the old river and it's a job. There's one quail standing Right on top of the log splitter there. On the engine. And more around there. That one flew all the way over there. Oh, that's one off the log splitter. The cat doesn't seem to bother him. I have another one with blue eyes. I don't know whether he does or not. they really love to come here just about dusk and eat then they go hide someplace i don't know that out there they're just all over the wood pile in the stack of building materials hope you can see them Zoom up here a little bit. I never saw so many quail in my life as we have here on our little ranch, whatever we call it. They just keep coming all the way down. I'll show the baby kittens to you here in a little while. They just keep on going across. I was taking a video of them with my phone a while ago and I said, well, I can't get it off the phone and put it on YouTube, so I'll try to get it this way. I look around, the kitty is walking on the ranch, on the rail there. She's almost 10 years old now. Kitty. Poe's here now. Coley got killed by the neighbor's dogs. Got some rotting dogs. I'll get out here and look around here. See if there are any more quail out here. They come from about six different directions. I'm gonna walk out here See if there are any over this way. They're still going over there. See if I can get them to be steady enough here. Many, many, many quail out there. There's a lot of them. Can't focus very well like that. Kitty is here. Gonna escort me around. We got some... There's Kitty having a good time. Yeah. She's a wonderful cat. Every night she catches many, many, many. I put a lot of food out here for them. I don't see one little grain of food left. Come up here to the shooting range. They're all up and down out here also. don't see any water coming out of these lines and they're open must be a blown line someplace so that's fine that there's our little 40 yard shooting range here back here goes up the trail canyon and boundary and Montgomery peak a lot of the coil rust underneath these containers here. I have to get one more container to move all our stuff up here and then I'll separate it. I'm gonna use one of those for a shop. One of them for all the masters of the classes I've done, which is many, many, many. They're still out there sitting on top of all that stuff. A lot of quail out there. Roosting on the wood pile and stuff. I don't know how many there are out there. I don't know how close I can get to them without disturbing them. They ought to be used to me by now. all over everything look like they're gonna roost there look at them out there they're roosting on all everything out there They're on top of and below everything out there. Talking up a storm. The rabbit's brush is blooming which causes a lot of allergies. Now I'm going to walk up here without scaring them too much. I wonder if they're roosting out there all night. You gotta haul that old desk off. Got it down at the dump, and I use it to work on here, doing different things, but it's about disintegrated now. It's been here about three or four years. Look out there, the quail are all over everything out there. Just all over the place. lots of quail now we're going to go see the baby kittens bad boy and kitty's wanting to go in there and visit with them i can see that okay kitty go in there and see the little guys bad boy is always wanting to try There's bad boy and cutie. That bad boy there, he's always got to look like he's a tough boy. See how tough he's looking? And then the little girl wants to imitate her brother. Hey guys. Hey guys. Hey guys. Look over here. You don't have to be such a tough boy, bad boy. Act like your sister a little bit. Kitty, are you looking for a mouse? Are you looking for a mouse? They play a lot. They just learned how. I've been putting them on little chairs and they just learned how to get down. Little girl. What do you think about them, kitty? Hmm? You think you could teach them? Oh, now don't act like you're crazy. Start hissing and going on, bad boy. Kitty, kitty, kitty. She's gotta look at everything, too. She had about 20 babies. Five or six litters. Last one she raised three little black boys and one little white boy on the same litter. What do you think you're doing there? Hmm? Are you going to go play with her? Hmm? Look like they could be her babies. Kitty, kitty, kitty. They're just now learning how to get up and down off those chairs. We just got them last Tuesday. This is Saturday. Kitty. Come over here and look at us. Yeah. Come over here. You think you're a big bad boy? Gotta stick all his hair straight up and growl real loud. She could eat you with one bite. She killed rats bigger than you are. Kitty, kitty, kitty. There's my wood burning cook stove. That's a Kalamazoo Puritan model. I did put a set of warming ovens on top of it, they're not quite wide enough, but those came from Hank Patterson's mother. You think you're a big boy, don't you? The little girl just plays all the time. I think girl cats are more productive than boy cats. It seems like they do more work, about like a lion. The female lions do all the hunting most of the time. A little bad boy. Bad boy and cutie. Cutie likes to play more. Kitty. Kitty. Come over here. Come here. Kitty. Come on. Come on. There go the quail. They're all over the yard still. Moving toward the creek. There's about a hundred down there. I don't know if you can see them or not. A lot of them. Pretty hard to hold this camera still. There's a lot of them down there. That's about 100 yards. From here to there, or maybe more, maybe 150. 125, something like that. There's the little baby looking outside. You better get back in there. You better get back in there. Yes, sir, right. Kitty. My eyes are watering really bad in here with these cats. I'm allergic to cats. Kitty. You don't need to go any higher. I have to get her out of here before she climbs up where I can't get her. I'm sure. They're going to do their business. They're all excited. Kitty, kitty. Before too long, I hope, I want to pour a sidewalk out here, coming out about six feet, all the way around and have a little work area there where I can get up and work on things. Gonna have stairs going down here. Well, we're still down here. Moving around. Still got a lot of cleaning up to do out here. Brought some of my workbench. There's my welding bench. There. And my pipe vise. Got another work table there. a chair that I have to put a new seat in. The wild horses have been out, you can see their droppings. Two stallions come in here about once a week or so and wander around and eat everything that's loose. Go out here and look at the chickens, they're roosting now. This is a freckles. Freckles, that's a swollen comb for some reason. Come on here Freckles, did you get bit on the comb or something? And there is this bunch. Three hens and a rooster. That's Junior. Rooster is. Say hi.
