Looking at this book of Isaiah, we're in the 19th, the last chapter, that 66th chapter, and looking at the 10th to the 12th verse, at least 6th to the 12th verse, where it says, what is the commotion in the city? What is that terrible noise from the temple? It is a the voice of the Lord taking vengeance upon his enemy. Who has heard or seen anything as strange as this? For in one day suddenly a nation, Israel, shall be born, even before the birth pains come. In a moment, just as Israel's anguish starts, the baby is born. The nation begins. Shall I bring to the point of birth and did not deliver? Asked the Lord your God. No, never. Rejoice with Jerusalem be glad with her all you who love her you who mourn for her delight in Jerusalem You who mourn for her but in the Amplified it says who mourn over her same as the King James version It says delight in Jerusalem drink deeper for glory even as an infant at a mother's generous breast Prosperity shall overflow Jerusalem like a river, says the Lord. For I will send it. The riches of the Gentiles will flow to her. Her children shall be nursed at her breast, carried on her hips, and dangled on her knees. I will comfort you there as a little one is comforted by his mother. So as an older gentleman, thinking of my children and my grandchildren and looking at this about birth, Jerusalem giving birth. But having to think about my children and the Spirit, I've been troubled. I've been troubled in the last year, couple of years, thinking of my salvation, of my children and grandchildren. and the book of Ezekiel about those who mourn and sigh. I think my teaching has changed a little bit. Last night, my wife was in there, and she was saying that she had wanted to watch the debate. And I said, well, no, I didn't really want to watch it. I had watched the presidential debate, and it had given me a loss of heart in the nation and in the people. in the world. It makes me half the last night's debate. I passed through there a couple of times. I was in the front doing some ironing and some other things I was doing, watching the television in the front after I did some reading. But I mourn and sigh for what's going on in the world. Look at the church, it says that being born, the church of Israel being born in a day. Just how fast the rapid growth of the church has been in the last latter few years I've been in the church, the sudden growth of the church. Here in America, it hadn't had pains of growth, it hadn't really had persecution or whatever. But the church line says being persecuted, that's what the religious teaches and preaches a saying. But it's not like it is in other nations or other countries, the religious persecution. I think that's why it's as corrupt as it is today. And as I said, I'm thinking about my children and grandchildren, the world that they'll have to grow up in if Christ doesn't come back. I'm praying and hoping he comes back, because I can't see it lasting. And the wickedness and the evilness, special as it's been manifested in the church, whereas evil is called good, good is called evil. Satan's ministers have been changed into ministers of light. transforming the ministers of light, so that's the delusion that's sent to deceive those, delude those that don't love the love of the truth, which I don't know how it comes about, but in my prayer that God would remove the wicked and that justice will prevail where injustice is prevailing. And thinking about when Isaiah told God told Isaiah to preach, but the people wouldn't hear, that they wouldn't be able to see, or they wouldn't understand. That's the problem I'm running up against today. That's what causes us to mourn. I think about the Beatitudes, about blessed are they that mourn, those that mourn, and about the brokenheartedness that he talks about in the Beatitudes. Because as a nation, I don't see any hope for the nation. I don't see any hope for the world. And I mourn because of the injustices and because of the plight of mankind, the depravity of mankind. And hadn't God spit, he said that he was gonna comfort. Now comfort from God normally comes to those that mourn, he says, blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted. But it seems as though we're a nation given the pleasure, that we're a nation that's given the self-satisfaction. And it does not mean that God endorses all of the outward, and that's what I think the church, a good bit of the church is in the nation today, is a shame. It's an outward profession of faith. It's a show. They're putting on a show. It's more or less entertainment. There are more professors in the church. I think that's prevalent here in the United States, and this nation is more prevalent than anywhere. That's why I say I think this is Babylon that we're living in, and we mourn. Many televangelists, many of the men of God have been fallen. Within that I guess some of the righteous has fallen and we studied that a couple of chapters back or whatever whether Righteous are taken away and no man consider it or take it to heart Because I you know, that's what I'm mourning about and that's Where I'm alone at my wife didn't understand the other day when I was saying about being all alone, you know, and I understand what Elijah was saying that he felt he was the only one because it's hard to find those that are following God are true believers. So it's few and far in between of the true believers and it's hard to find men to be friends with because of their twisted, of their perverted thinking and being drawn away from God and drawn with all of the customs, the professions, the tolerance, and the compromises that they endure. Now, back with a lot of the religious professions in the Old Testament, when people had an outward sign of mourning, that they put forth an outward and a vivid sign of mourning, of tearing of their garments, of putting on sackcloth, casting dust on their head, dressing in specific ways. But he makes instructions in the prophecies, and he allows us to see that in the Old Testament, but in this dispensation, it's different, the New Testament, this era, or whatever. And it's not as a non-endorsement of those practices, but by the admonition Jesus gives elsewhere in the Sermon of the Mount, But mourning is more or less internal. Those in Ezekiel's time, when he says, not seal it up to those, be sealed in their forehead for those that mourn and sigh and cry for that that's going on in the city. Those that are looking at our nation fall, looking at what mankind has come to and what mankind is coming to. And that the church, it's like he said, it had given birth. But now that he had given birth to this, shall he not deliver? It's like the children of Israel that God gave birth to that nation. But there still was the wilderness journey. When you're born again, that's just the beginning of the journey. That's the beginning. of God forming his character in us, you know, and as newborns, he says, sucking at the plenteous of the breast of the mother. A lot of the converts are desiring the sincere milk of the word that are religiously, that are spiritually hungry. But they're being deceived by misinformation and disinformation the grievous wolves have entered in, the churches, being overrun and there's a labor shortage going on about enough laborers in the harvest to bring in the fruit that's out there to cause us to be fruitful. But we see where there will be an onslaught of incoming into the church that the riches of the Gentiles, the riches of the world, shall flow into the house of God. But to start off, versus the reading, it says what the uproars in the city, what's that noise, what's the commotion going? Makes me think about Amos, where it says, or Joel, where it says, if not, evil done in the city, and he had not done it. So no matter who wins the election, I think we have to have a clearance in the United States. I think that there has to be tribulation, there has to be a retribution. It says, what is that terrible noise from the temple? Is it the voice of the Lord? It is the voice of the Lord taking vengeance upon his enemies. The voice of God providing retribution to his enemies. Those that hate God, in that one day, the day of the Lord, as giving birth and rejoicing and being comforted, but it's also a dual process happening. Judgment is happening. There are those that are being brought down, there are those that are being destroyed, there are those that acting like the church, or have a form of godliness, but they're denying the power because they hadn't been truly generated or truly born again. God tells his people to separate. Listen to this principle. We talked about this principle a couple of months ago when we were talking about fasting and praying out of the book of Matthew, the sixth chapter. And that precept, the principle, is there for the rest of it. That's part of being a child of God. We have to remember everything that we have to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. So we can't dismiss specific teachings and go on to the next one. And that's what the world is counting on. Sound bites, that you listen at one thing, 10 or 15 minutes, a day or two, a week or so, and you forget it. And that's not how God's people are built, and that's how reasoning and rationing the leaders are on. Not just to the lay members, to some of the ones that aren't chosen to rule and reign. That's why I say we see our ignorant populace, he says his people are ignorant. destroyed for the lack of knowledge because they're not studying the Word of God. They're not giving themselves to studying, and that's the last frontier, is studying the Word of God, assimilating it into our being and walking and thereof. And that's how the commotion, that's how it's being cleared because God's preachers are preaching and teaching His Word That's what makes the separation. He told the angels of the messengers of the church to continue to preach the word. The word is a great divider. The word either draws you or drives you. That verse I'm talking about is in Matthew 6, 16 through 18. Moreover, when you faiths do not be like the hypocrites, For with a sad countenance, for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear to men to be fasting. Or surely I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting. And your Father who sees in heaven will reward you openly." Same thing being said about when you pray. When you pray, enter into thy prayer closet. So it's not so much of being outwardly a child of God, because what's in a person is going to manifest itself. That which defiled the man, which comes from the man, is what defiles him. Your character, that inner nature, is going to come out unless you put it to death. But if God has birthed you again and regenerated you, your character starts to show because you're being formed, made, and shaped in his image. And so what God is using is circumstances, situations, and different conditions to mold and shape his people, and they're the ones that are mourning and sighing And those are the ones he told the angel to mark those people. Mark those until after he marked them, then he would send the destroying angel through the destroyer. we can conclude that the morning Jesus calls a blessing in that Beatitudes, the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5 and 4, is most assuredly not highly visible in the dramatic kind seen in the above scriptures, but is a private spiritual quality inseparably linked to us. the other Beatitudes, and as we'll go over those Beatitudes shortly, some of them, we'll see that it's not so much that person that appears as the Pharisees that are called rabbis that are looking for outward rewards and the people with the jets and the mega ministries and all of the fancy clothing and the proper education or whatever. These may be wolves in sheep's clothing. These may be the tares that are sown among the wheat, that the enemy had sown these among the wheat. These are the enemies of God. preaching the word of God. These are the ones that took Satan up on that deal that he says, if he would worship him, he would give all of those kingdoms unto them. And they're worshiping idols. They're worshiping false gods. But God's people are the ones that worship him in spirit and truth. It's a way of worship, because we look later on in this chapter where these people are doing hidden things, But they're not obeying the word of God, their bodies are not cleansed according what they're putting in there. Not that we have clean and unclean foods now, but the intent or the motivation lies in what they're doing. not in the specifics of whether swine's flesh is clean or not, or whether offering up a proper offering or not, but it's the intent. Remember I told you it was the state of mind, the continence of Cain's heart So God's looking at the inner man, not the outer man, because there were Jews, and He said they were outside. Not really Jews, but He said circumcision is of the heart. It's of the inward man. That's what He performs, that inner circumcision. A Jew is not one that is outwardly circumcised, and the flesh doesn't make you a Jew. Those that are circumcised, that doesn't constitute you being a spiritual Jew. And they were proud, or they were prideful in being sons of Abraham. But he says, but you're not of your father Abraham, because it wasn't of faith. It was the character in which they were manifested. That's what I was looking at when I seen the charlatan last night dressed up in wolf's clothing and all of his speech. And that's why the sorrow, the examining, when it says let a man examine himself, and I see myself similar to some of these people. being religious but never really examining. So as we start to examine ourselves, as Paul said, he once was a Pharisee. He was once just like the rest of those. But then God brought about in his life godly sorrow. And godly sorrow produces a repentance, a true repentance that brings forth godly sorrow. that has a factor making you in his image enlightened. The Beatitudes, when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on the mountain and he was seated and his disciples came to him and he says, blessed or joyful are you by God's goodness. Are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, that is those who actively seek for right standing with God, for they will be completely satisfied. But the hunger, it seems as though the people are hungering now, it's not for righteousness, not for right-standing with God. It's for pride. It's for intellectual knowledge in itself. It's for self-esteem. It's for self-centeredness. All of the intents and thoughts are wrong. It says, blessed are you, or the merciful, for they will receive mercy. We're not a very merciful nation, and that's what I was looking at. The Evangelicals, the other day, I was reading something. I just kind of glazed over it, and they told both political parties, but they highlighted one party more than another, and they said, be careful with the immigrants and what we're saying or what we're doing. Because I've seen that this is the worst Christianity in this nation as it rising up that are not very merciful. they are blaspheming the name of God. And that's the commotion that we're seeing, that God's gonna judge these people. So if judgment's beginning at the house of God, we're probably in the next, and that's why I say, I don't know which way the election's gonna go, but that doesn't determine whether these people are of God or not, because we know the nation has to fall because it's Babylon. He's telling his people to come out of Babylon so there's a spiritual structure that's rising. in that that instruction is invisible to the people, but only those that mourn, only those that sigh and cry for what's going on or the drifting away of the nation or the people of the nation, the compassion, the inner feelings, and there's something that only God's people can see. that could see this from God's perspective. That's why it says, those with ears to hear and eyes to see. He has to give them an understanding. So you can have people sitting right next to you in the same churches and going to the same jobs and doing the same thing, but the separation is gonna be so thorough that it doesn't uproot the wheat with the tares. For the wheat shall take root and grow down and be strong and effective. He says, blessed are those who are pure in heart, with integrity, moral courage, and godly character, for they will see God. There's a separation within parties and political parties and within churches because there's a purity of moral turpitude that's going on, there's a moral line of demarcation that we've crossed, and the standards are being lowered. So I say the compromising and the tolerance, we will find ourselves It's gonna be worse than COVID, I would think, because a lot of them didn't see God in it. I don't know how many saw God in it. I saw and still seeing God in it, and I'm seeing God at work. And that's why I'm still mourning and signing, because those of us are the ones that he's gonna comfort. He's comforting us with his word, with the actions. He's giving us joy and peace, but it's an inner joy and peace. To understand what's going on in this last chapter, So we can go on further into our next study. It says, blessed that is spiritually calm with life joy are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they will be called the sons of God. The peacemaker, not those that are violent. Don't you see this is a violent nature? The vitriol that's being spewed, and it's being preached into the people. the carnival barkers the preachers the political assassins all of this is going on in the people are absorbing this through social media they're absorbing this through the influence of wealth The longshoremen went on strike yesterday, and the strikes and the thing, but it has to have an end. God is attacking the foundations, if the foundations be shaken. And that's what's happening. That's why I say, are we drawn to more and more prayer now? are we seeing our depravity as Paul looked back at his depravity what he kept looking back that he was persecuting the church and now of how much he's suffering but the more you suffer the more your eyes will open up the more you mourn and feel It's a feeling that you have for the world or the nation of those of the world that you see why God so loved the world. But that world that he so loved was those that he was going to save. It wasn't the enemies of God. And he didn't pray for the world. But the prayer that they were praying were covering the children of God, the people of God. Whereas they were praying against their enemies, they were praying for their enemies. but the prayer they were praying for the enemy was much more different because when he says fret not thyself but cause for evil doers will they soon be cut off aren't we asking him to remove the evil doers no aren't we asking him for justice and to be vindicated on those that are oppressing us those that are mistreating us those that are persecuting us but by us doing these things and praying in this manner In treating them with mercy and intent of the love of God, as a child of God, we're heaping coals of fire on their head, it says. These are coals that you're heaping to their own destruction. It says, blessed by inner peace and God's love are those who are persecuted for doing that which is morally right, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven, both now and forever. Because he said, in this life, the kingdom of heaven that's coming, the millennial reign, that is now, the kingdom is among us. So what we are fighting for is present. What we are fighting for is future. What we're fighting for is everlasting. But we're being persecuted for those that misunderstand us. But the reason they're misunderstanding us is that they're serving another god, and they think that they're doing god a favor. And these same people, a large portion of them, are deluded. In other words, the delusion has overcome them because they didn't receive the love of the truth and they suppressed the truth in unrighteousness. And you remember I told you, you can't yield your members unto unrighteousness. So in other words, you're creating or you're doing acts of unrighteousness. In other words, you're hearing the words preached, but you're not a doer of the word because you don't have an understanding. God's not opening up because you don't fear and tremble at his word. He says, that was the man that he was going to look to and bless those that are fear and tremble at his word. Those are the ones he was going to establish, and how was he going to establish them? He was going to establish them by his gospel. You are established by the gospel, by acting. So if we're being recorded, rewarded according to our deeds, each man receiving that that's done in the body. So it's our actions that's really speaking louder than the words. Because we're only hearers of the word and not doers of the word. But that's because we have no faith. Our faith has works. of faith without works, and that's why it says that we should contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints of God. That faith that delivered unto the saints of God brought about a repentance, a turning away from self. It brought about a death to self. It brought about a crucifixion, a dying, a putting the self to death. That old man, that old nature, it has to die. But what the world, what the preachers, what the internet, what social media, what everything is doing, it's bringing self alive and giving you your best life now instead of that you have to suffer to enter in. It's telling you that you shouldn't deny yourself of any pleasure. It's like Solomon, he said he hadn't denied himself of any pleasure. But Jesus had told us in his preaching and teaching, we must learn to deny ourselves and take up our cross to follow after him. He says, blessed that is morally courageous and spiritually alive with life and joy in God's goodness are you when people insult you and persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil things against you because of your association with me. Be glad and exceedingly joy for your reward in heaven is great for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. My wife had said something the other day, and I kind of clarified this. She said, well, they're saying no fact-checking, that they wasn't going to have fact-checking or whatever during the debate. And I say, well, that's because they wouldn't want a little thing like the truth to get in the way. Today's world don't want the truth. Let's not go by the facts, not let's go by what's true. They hadn't received the love of the truth. They would rather hear great swelling words. They would rather hear something that emotionally tickles their ears, that makes them feel good, that sows seeds of hatred, that sows seeds of covetousness. that soul sees of misrepresentation. Why? Because that's where the father of the flesh of the ones that are enmity with God, he's the father of lies. So why would he want you to point out this? But we still have to be the light breakers. Our light has to shine that we don't even have associations. Now, I don't know how can a Christian, a so-called God-fearing person, be yoked up with someone that's a known lighter, a known deceiver. Satan is a deceiver. He come to lie, kill, steal, and rob. He's a grifter. Jesus said he'd come that we would have life and have it more abundantly. The joys that life brings. But do it look like people are most stressed out and anxious with no joy, with no peace because of the things in this world? Morning always precedes genuine conversion. that brokenness, it always precedes genuine conversion. For there must be a real sense of sin before the remedy or deliverance from it will even begin to be desired. That's why, you remember I told you, hate is not the opposite of love biblically. Sin is. Because to love God is true love. To sin is to hate God. That's what sin is. So if you're not genuinely knowing, seeing sin for what sin is and hate sin and it's abomination, anything to do with sin, You understand what I'm saying? Because your whole life is predicated on not continuing in sin. That's why he died. That's why he shed his blood to redeem us from these things. So that we would not continue in sin, we wouldn't habitually practice sin. and that we wouldn't have any dealings with the unfruitful workers of darkness. No fellowship with them. No communion, but we would shine the light on those things. That we would reprove this darkness with a solid, strong rebuke, steadfast and immutable. That's why the persecution comes. That's why the hatred, the vitriol in all these comes, because You're raining on their parade. They're saying that you don't want them to enjoy life. They have a twisted idea of what life is. They have a twisted idea because they shouldn't let the, they don't want the truth to get in the way. They love darkness rather than light, so they don't want you to reprove them. If you reprove them and set these things right, and that's why he says, have you, because you hate them because I've told you the truth. They don't want the truth. Psalms 51 and 17, David says, my only acceptable sacrifice to God is a broken heart, a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart with sorrow for sin, thoroughly penitent. Such a God you will not despise. That's what God's looking for, a penitent sinner. One who's truly sorry for what he had done and what it has caused. Governor DeWine the other day was saying the division that has come about in the community of Springfield among the people, the sowing of sin. And instead of stopping this and repenting and turning from it, you kind of lit a match, after you lit the match, you threw gas on the fire. You continually building in these things. What is more in here is in a spiritual nature that I've said things into where I've hate my brother. That's hate of your brother. That's what Cain was a murderer. And so when he offered his offering, he hadn't gotten right with his brother. And that's why I said the problem with the offerings was unclean. as to what they were offering, because it says, before you offer up your offering, you need to go back and get right with your brother. If you've offended your brother, if you've set up a situation where you've caused your brother to be hurt, where you've done something wrong, you have to put that right first. You see, it's about the unity of the spirit. It's about unity of the faith. We're looking for unity. God is one. He says that they all would be one as we are one. That's why it says, love your neighbor as you love yourself. You have to put neighbor ahead of these things in a lot of things. And the sorrow likewise is spiritual, a kind of contrition or repentance Are remorseful and how many people say I'm sorry for what I said. I'm sorry for what I did You see now what has happened if you get the wealth that you get the riches if you in the church if you're doing all right if God had blessed you and established you Now you may not come back and get the foundation, right? That's why you have to be careful of what foundations you've built on. And he said, this had given birth overnight. So what happened, God had sowed the wheat, but then Satan came up and sowed the tares, and the scripture said it sprung up overnight. And see, now you forgot, where did you get this power to get wealth? Because a lot of people power through wealth. The richest man in the world, he's going to become a trillionaire. I don't know if the world will last that long. And I don't want to point fingers and everything, but we're in a very dangerous time period. Because people worship wealth, not realizing who had given them power to get wealth. So hear what we say, I don't know if you cut grass or farm or whatever you do, but everybody knows weeds grow faster than grass does. Bad trees grow faster than oak trees do, than cedar trees do. Those who mourn like this are desperately sorry for their own sin and feel unworthy. But when you catch a person that's pride and feel like me, me, me, and always wanting to be out front and saying something, you have to be as they were saying. Sometimes you're a little bit too hard on yourself. Is this guy, what's the guy that's running for vice president, boss, Jim Walsh or whatever? He says he's not a debate or whatever, but he does appear to be the neighbor next door, does he? He has that down-home, and I think he's real. But see, he said, I heard that one of the people asked him about how was he over there. He tried to equivocate, he tried to evade, and I was leaving out, but he never did answer the question, but then he said he got it wrong, he wasn't there. He misspoke. He misspoke. Sometime when you misspoke, say, I said it wrong. I wasn't there. I didn't do it. Okay, we can forgive. Because that's why I say, I look at my own sin, and that's the way I've been growing stronger. I've been trying to take the beans out of my own eyes. I don't go around taking moats and things out of my brother's eye. I have to clean up Emerson. So when you start examining yourself and see how unworthy you are, and my wife was saying, they spoke Kamala's name last night more than they did their name or what they were doing. When you are the chooser, when you're always accusing and belittling someone else, be very careful. But that's what the nation has come to. That's what I wouldn't want my children. That's why I say we can't have our children patterned after these leaders in the nation today. Not in the world, not in the church. We can't have this. God has to come in and do something. This whole thing has to crumble down. We see that this is not fit and fit together. This is not the building that Jesus Christ. If we know Jesus Christ is building and destroying, because his word tells us he is, and that his kingdom is coming, but the one we see is a worldly kingdom, and that's why we say it's falling down. Babylon is falling, and I can feel, I can see, I hear the spiritual house being built, a house that Christ is building, a nation that he's building in the nations of the world is falling. My God, this gives me peace, it gives me joy. That's my comfort and joy. His word has given everything it promised. But now some of that's invading and coming into this life, into this present time, because the prosperity has to come also. There's gonna be a transferal of wealth, a shifting of the wealth, because he's gonna take it from the wicked and the evildoers. It is it's pointed directly at one's own heart in which we see great sin and because sin inhabits our heart We know we are unworthy. That's what Paul. I mean David was feeling that's what Paul was feeling in the book of Romans He's seen this thing within him So that's why we struggle. That's what the man said, told Jesus. I believe, but help my unbelief. It's always that part of me inside. I have to watch it because when I attempt to do good, that evil is right there. That's man in the body. That's sin in the flesh. And as long as we are in the flesh, we can't do it because flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. So if we allow the works of that old man, if we allow that nature to germinate and continue to grow, we will have a serious issue. We got to put it to death, we have to modify. People who have a contrite spirit feel grief for how much they have contributed personally to the world's ease. And that's what I'm looking at. What do you have invested in this world? That's why I said we must divest ourselves of this world. We must come out of the world. We must see ourselves as having been part of the problem. Now we can't get entangled in this world's affairs. But we have to ask God for the way out. Jesus has to lead us. This requires a conversation with God, that is prayer, that's praying day in and day out. But it requires us walking in the spirit, those that are led by the spirit of God. Other sons of God, so that's why he gave us the Holy Spirit That's the comforter the comfort us that mourn because when mourns and groans the spirit Pray it it make it in a section for us because we have to petition the father in the name of Jesus But we don't know what they asked for We, that old man, we're asking things to consume it upon our own flesh. So we're trying to pray to where is the spirit would make intercession for us. So we see mourning, crying and sighing is deeper than just a feeling, a emotion, but it contains all of the faculties of all of the brain, all of the corners, all of the nuances of who we are, our reasoning, our rationale, our Folks, it requires an engendering of putting that man to death that you see rising up. God's gonna shine the light in there. God's gonna keep you from presumption, but as he shines the light within you, he's gonna show you who you are, whatever. And when you come face to face with that, you have to put him to death. That's what Paul was talking about in Romans 7 and 8. That had me bothered for a while because I remember back years and years ago, Jimmy Swigert was teaching on that. He had got hung up on that. And I said, this couldn't be a pre-conversion preaching or teaching that Paul wasn't. It was present. And that's why I say, beware of preachers and teachers. Just because somebody has a big name on this, that doesn't mean they know or understand or have mastered that. Because some of the biggest names in preaching and teachers have failed in the last five to 10 years. And that's the examples that God given us a hearty spirit going before a fall. So you could write as many Bibles and many commentaries or whatever you do. But if you're not being led by the spirit, you can teach others and still fall away. Moses was the greatest leader of all time. But he didn't enter into Promised Land because he allowed that anger to rise up. The people roused his anger. We have to see that that lies in us. It lies dormant. We try to not grieve the spirit. We try to keep that lying dormant, but it is there. We have to be aware of it. They have, people have like this as David have a sense of sin in themselves and how deeply rooted it is in them and continuing presence breaks them. That's continuing sorrow keeps you in a state. That's why Paul was given this thorn in the flesh. It was to keep him humble. He found out why God did this, so that he wouldn't be lifted up. It's a many a minister's wish God had given them a thorn in the flesh to keep us humble. See, because God wants us to humble ourselves. But if God has to humble you, you really don't want God to humble you. but God working in our lives. He's doing everything so we shouldn't be disobedient to the word. We shouldn't be disobedient to the spirit. And he gave us the presence of his spirit to go with us. It's the comforter. He's gonna guide and lead us in all truth and he's called the comforter. He comforts us. It is abiding sorrow also that is there. And they are upset, even angry at themselves that it keeps coming out when they want to be rid of it and spiritually clean. And that's what David wanted. God had created him a new heart, a clean heart. See, and we see we're being washed by the word. And do you fail sometime and said, man, not again. And you see yourself doing these things. And that's all we could do is plead and keep coming to God. That's why we ask Him day by day for our daily bread and to deliver us. That's why each morning we open up with prayer to God to bring us through that day. Our sorrow and joy and mourning, all of that's wrapped up in us and it's a complexity. It's a complexity within us, and we are a very complex person in God. And it keeps popping up because of our weakness, and that's why I said last night, I said I didn't want to watch the debate because it's sickening. the things of the world, what's coming up on the world. And I don't want it to present anxiety. I don't want it to bring out tensions in me saying, and that's why I would draw from the news programs. I would draw from the sports program. I would draw from a whole lot of things because I don't want to get entangled in this world's affairs. I want to keep my mind set on God, which is calm, peace, and I keep pressing on toward the mission. I don't want to take sides, I don't want to be divisive, but I want to be example. So the austere, let me not try to say that word, let me do that. Okay, so each day, that's why if you're hungry and thirsting for righteousness, that's why you keep coming to the filling station. The church is the filling station. He says be filled with the Spirit. We come in for the fellowshipping with the saints. God has designed so fellowship you grow in fellowshipping one with another and confessing to one another. That's why he says, forsake not the assembling together of yourself. The church is where he placed the gifts unto men, the teachers and the preachers. It's to make you strong. It's to build that character in you. The church is the assembly of God. That's why we can't be separated. That's why people, but herein again, the enemy has through social media thing, people operating out of their homes or different places. They're putting a spin on the gospel, and it says there's a way that seemed right to a man that therein is death and destruction, because the church should be the central meeting place. That's what he was setting up the tabernacle. That's what he was showing, a central meeting place where he says, bring ye all of the tithes into the storehouse. This one is, there's a lesson and a teaching and a preaching in the church. Don't divide the church. The church is a organism. Divide, let's use that word organism, by what? That's God's authorized representative that is growing and spreading, and it's gonna fill the whole earth. As the little leaven that leavened the whole lot, well, the whole earth could be the mountain of the Lord, not just a location of Jerusalem, some landmass over there in the west somewhere. The east, I mean, over in the east somewhere, in the Middle East. No, it's not geographical. But the world would be geographical because that's the earth that Abraham was going to inherit. The whole earth was going to be full of the knowledge of God. That's the mountain of God, the whole earth. So it's not a city of one nation, but it's gonna be one nation, one government under God. Grief works that way, yet those who possess an internal disposition of brokenheartedness of a contrite spirit will be comforted through God's complete redemption. If that's an internal, in other words, if that's a spiritual thing, that's your thought process. That's your meditation. Day in and day out is pleasing God, not offending God, walking according to God. Everything is God. That consumes. You must decrease. He must increase. It's all about God. So the whole day, that's what consumes you is God. And that's how grief works, and that's the pattern. Modern studies have found that grief is a lengthy process. People that don't properly grieve the loss of someone, the loss of something, of something going in. And man causes you not to grieve. They say, well, you shouldn't do this or you shouldn't do that. That grief is necessary. All of these things God has is necessary. It is not just something that happens and quickly recedes. It becomes a part of the process. It's a part of mending right, putting it back together right. It's part of instilling the character. Instead, it is a process of a person must move through in each stage, each of which takes time. In this stage, in this way, a grieving person can get a handle on what he or she is feeling and how it affects daily life. It takes considerable time to come to terms with what has happened and what's going on, what's transpired, whether you've lost a job, you came down with cancer, you have some chronic illness, something has happened in life or whatever, there's a coping mechanism that comes into play. And without that bitterness, without the proper way, bitterness, envy, certain other fruits or works of the flesh develop. But we want the salve, we want the healing salve of God's Word. We want the Spirit working in us. There's a combination, and that's why I say we can't leave out any parts of the process. So another coming along comforting each other, but they have to be people of God. Exhorting one another. I was telling someone today, I really appreciate them exhorting me, coming alongside and issuing the word every once in a while that strengthened me. All of this counts. It counts to hear somebody say, I'm praying for you. All of these things is part of the process that makes a church, and that's why he puts the gifts in the church. That's why we have one another, and that's the love for one another. The book of Lamentations illustrates this process, and we'll go over that at another time. But that process we see in the book of Ezekiel, the ninth chapter and the fourth verse when the Lord said, go through the midst of the city, throughout all of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the forehead of the men and women who sigh in distress. and grieve over the repulsive acts which are being committed in it. So the people that's here in the United States, that's in the world, that's seeing how the United States elect its officials, seeing how the churches and the people associates, all of this is what you're grieving and mourning about, the whole thing. I mean, in the schools, everywhere, that's why I say we can't take religion out of the picture anywhere. So what is happening is worldwide. It's spiritually incumbent upon us to steadfastly bring God into wherever we are, into all of our thoughts, and to make the right decisions and mourn that it's been gone the way of the world and that it has to fall. And it's fallenness though, we see our sons and daughters, we see our Children and grandchildren and we have to have this it does something to you. That's what I say it it grabs hold to the whole man the Spiritual man, but see if you love the world you hadn't been born again. You cannot grasp this that's why it's could be it says it's but be as the days of Noah and because man's gonna be going about in the world as it was during the times of Noah and the flood came. But during that process of time, Noah had built this gigantic ark. Noah had preached the word of God and we know God warns all men before doing this thing. The grace of God had appeared to all men. So this has came into our lives, that burning bush has appeared unto us But we've been oblivious of it. That day of salvation had came, and we're not building. We hadn't boarded the ark. See, the board of the ark is not just it. We must be in preparation for the kingdom of God if we were serving the kingdom of God. So we see that God spares those who suffer in a torment due to the rising social evils around them. He gives us peace because you can see the train wreck and he's not going to allow you, he says, I'm going to keep you doing the hour of tribulation. In other words, you have this fire insurance that envelops you while you're in the lion's den. It envelops you while you're tossed into the fiery furnace. But mourning and sighing and sorrow and grief is part of that what insulates you. Because this is going to happen and come forth quickly, and you will be able to enjoy it. You will be able to enjoy the prosperity. But that's because all along you were preparing for it. You wasn't living the life now, as people say, your best life now. There were times of good things going on, but through suffering, through the mourning, through the grief, all of this was working in you to make a character, and I'm not gonna be able to make it anywhere toward where I'm going. That word sigh, when he says that mourning sigh, sigh means to groan, to moan. And the word cry, this word contains a great deal of emotional meaning. It involves a person's innermost feelings. And as I look at my grandchildren, as I look at my children, as I look at those things I couldn't achieve, I didn't achieve, that I want to achieve, that's going to be beholden against them, that's coming up on the earth, I don't develop a complex, a distress from it. I joy in the Lord because of his promises right here in this verse about our children and enjoying them upon our laps or upon our knees. As picking my granddaughter up from the nursery and taking us to say Papa what a happy meal happy meal Enjoying that those are the things that but the prosperity goes throughout It's hard to describe this to you, but spiritually God's Word assure you this that the morning that he looks at those that mourn the grief and sorry what's motivated now I'm gonna finish this Sunday, finish this teaching Sunday, because of the motivations in the intent. That's what God's trying to make and instill in us that are his people, that that's gonna separate us during this time of delivery. Heavenly Father,
