Peace Under Pressure

Our Pastor, Dr. Lee Atkinson, begins with a quote from the homespun American poet, James Whitcomb Riley, who wrote of those times when "the frost is on the punkin ... " and everything's a-goin' like you like to see it go. He continues by noting that most people have at least some times when everything is NOT "a-goin'" like you like to see it go. Some people, in fact, seem addicted to turmoil and upheaval and only seem "at peace" when they are in chaos! Lack of peace is their meat and drink. But what should those of us who prefer "zip-a-dee-doo-dah" days do when life tries to take the zip out of our day?
