He was justified decades before he was circumcised and even this was 500 years before the Law was given at Sinai. Proving that even then, the law only brings a curse, Paul points the Galatians to the truth of justification by faith as he presents the atonement by Christ as He became cursed for us to deliver us from the curse of the law.
