True Comfort

Because the church of the Middle Ages had lost the true message of the Gospel, it
could no longer offer to its people any sort of comfort for either life or death. So just as
the Apostle Paul wanted the Cretans to know true comfort, our Catechism authors also
wanted their people to know how real comfort could be found. True comfort is found in:

1. Belonging to Jesus.

2. The freedom that we have in Jesus.

3. The assurance that we have in living for Jesus.
