Live in the Spirit

Throughout the letter, Peter has been giving reasons and encouragement to believers who are or will be facing suffering due to persecution. All along, he has reminded them that suffering is no excuse for bad behavior. In this text, he makes it clear that to live in the Spirit is a radical break from the world and presents a different lifestyle than living by the lusts of the world.
