Hebrews 2:14-18

God the Son put on flesh, and perfectly represented us to God. He has conquered Satan and death on our behalf. A Christian is no longer a slave to sin, or a slave to the fear of death. The more you realize what Christ has done for you, the more the fear of death will diminish. We know that we go directly from this life to the blessed presence of God, because Jesus has represented us perfectly. He is our High Priest who appeases the wrath of God on our behalf.
