What is envy?
a) Envy is ill will caused by looking at
someone else’s success
b) Envy is hostility brought on by someone
else’s accomplishments
I. What are the causes of envy?

1. It comes from the devil
2. Some people make it easy for the devil
3. Ultimately, it is a lack of faith and trust in God
   II. What does envy produce?
4. It affects relationships
5. It leads to self-destruction
6. It produces great anger
7. It can lead to murder
   III. What is the cure for envy?
8. As with any sin...only Jesus Christ
9. As with any sin...it must be put away
10. As with any sin...it must be replaced
11. As with any sin...remember God hates it
12. And then...you must walk by the Spirit
