Sermon: Revelation 16:1-11

I. The first five bowls or wrath
A. The first, v. 2, -- painful sores

 1. God commands them to happen

 2. parallels to 10 plagues of Exodus and 
             7 trumpets of Revelation 8

 3. the ones affected: people with mark of beast

B. The second, v. 3, -- salt water becomes blood

C. The third, vv. 4-7, -- fresh water becomes blood

D. The fourth, vv. 8-9, -- scorching sun

E. The fifth, vv. 10-11 – wrath against the beast

II. The justice of God

III. The implied lesson: repent now
