God hates divorce, but God did divorce national Israel for its spiritual harlotry. Jesus said that anyone divorcing his/her spouse other than for the cause of fornication commits adultery if they marry another. What is the meaning of fornication? Can it encompass more than just sexual sins? If so, what sins?
