Extraordinary Faith

In this passage, we come to one of the great stories of the Old Testament. Rahab's place here in the story of the conquest serves to illustrate the vital nature of faith in the saving promise of God. What an astonishing thing to find such a rich and full confession in the land of Canaan among those who worshiped false gods. The truly astonishing thing is that such a confession is found in any heart. This sermon seeks to bring encouragement to the faithful amidst the failed expectations of life by fixing our attention on the God of heaven and earth who saves according to His mercy.
