Revealing of Jonah's heart

In chapter 4 we have revealed for us the motive for Jonah's behavior. He did what he did out of duty and not from his heart. Jonah wanted all the grace and mercy God had for him but wanted destruction for his enemies. He was more concerned about material possessions than thousands of lives. We can't hide from God, so we might as well obey from the get go.
