We may not win every battle,
but we know the war has been won in Christ, and we keep marching
on in His name, exalting our King. Amen? And it just takes
us right to where we're dealing with in the book of Revelation.
Look at what he says in verse number 7 of chapter number 12. He says, And war broke out in
heaven, and Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the
dragon and his angels fought. but they did not prevail, nor
was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great
dragon was cast out, the serpent of old, called the devil, and
also Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast to the
earth and His angels were cast out with Him. Then I heard a
loud voice saying in heaven, Now salvation and strength and
the kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ have come
for the accuser of the brethren who accused them before God day
and night has been cast down. And they, that is the brethren,
the saints, overcame Him by the blood of the Lamb and the word
of their testimony. and they did not love their lives
to the death. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens,
and you who dwell in them. Father, we thank you today that
we can testify and stand before you and that we can humbly approach
you and just say we love you. Thank you for being willing to
use us, being willing to speak to us, and thank you for giving
us the victory, the triumph in Christ, in Jesus' name, Amen. And oh simply in this we see
that as God speaks to me out of this passage, verse number
11, And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by
the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives
to the death. They overcame him. You know, there's only, that
right there tells us how in the world are we going to be able
to overcome the enemy, Satan, that great dragon of old, that
serpent, is that we've got to have the covering of the blood
of Jesus. There's he who deceives the whole
world. You've got to have the covering
of the blood of Jesus. Without the covering of the blood
of Jesus, there's no way to triumph or overcome the wiles and the
schemes and the temptations of that dragon, Satan, the old surplant
of the devil. There's no way that you and I
would be able to overcome him. As we look through the book of
Revelation, as you've been studying through it, as you've been reading
through it, how many of y'all got all the answers in the book
thus far? None of us would admit to that.
We'd be a fool if we did. We don't know all the answers,
but prayerfully and thankfully so, we get something in here
that helps us recognize that one, no matter how we look at
it, God is working all these things out for His glory, and
we can praise Him on that. There's a lot of details in it
that I don't know about, and I can't explain accurately. I
have an inclination towards some of them, but I can't come with
100% of a confidence and say, I know exactly what this means
and exactly what it says. So I don't talk about it as much,
but I do know this with 100% accuracy, God is upon His throne. He's the one who's unveiling
the life of His Son. And three, He's working all these
things out on His timetable and upon His scale, and He gives
us a glimpse of how we are able to overcome this great deceiver,
and that is being covered under the blood of the Lamb, and by
the confession or the word of our testimony. You see, it's
in the covering of the Lamb that transforms who we are, changes
who we are, that gives us a confession to agree with, and to walk with,
and to talk, and to proclaim, and to stand upon, to praise
the One who's covered us, and to give glory in the heights
to Him. and the confidence of the fact
that no matter what we have to face, even if Satan is given
authority to kill us, or overthrow us, however you want to look
at it, to punish us, to mistreat us. The confidence that we have
is that God has done such a transformational work in us of our confession
of the Lordship of Jesus over our lives, that He is our King,
that we're willing to live and die for Him. Amen? As Paul would
say in Acts chapter 20, He knew he was going to face trouble.
He knew he was going to face jail time. He knew he was going
to face chains. He knew he would face beatings.
He knew it was not going to be easy. But the Spirit testified
that trouble was coming your way. He said, but you know, none
of them things, it doesn't deter me or move me off course. Why? Because I want to finish
the race that God gave me. And I want to finish it with
joy. I want to testify to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I want
to confess. I've been covered in the blood
of the Lamb. What in the world can Satan do unto me? I'm alive
in Christ. It's no longer I who live, but
Christ Jesus who lives in me. What can he do but deal with
this old body of mine which is defiled, it's vile, it's sinful,
it's corrupted. It'll never be redeemed. It's
going to have to be transformed. So what can he do to me? He can't
do anything to me without God permitting Him to have authority
over my life. And if He does, it's because
God's finished with me. So I have the confidence that
no matter what, I'm indestructible until God is done. Amen? I get
a glimpse of that. Look in chapter 11. Look in chapter
11. I was telling the men in Sunday
school, right as we was closing, 11-7. This verse, it strengthens my
spirit every time I think about it and ponder it. I love what
it says and it says exactly what 12-11 is saying, how they overcame
Him by the blood and by the word of their testimony and that they
loved not their lives even unto death. But listen to what 11-7
says, when they finish their testimony. The beast that ascends out of
the Balaam's pit will make war against them, will overcome them,
and kill them. But it won't happen until they're
finished with their testimony. until they're finished. Until
they're finished. You know what that says to me?
It screams to me that they and we are indestructible until God
is finished with the testimony that He's given us, the assignment
that He's given us. For some people, it's younger
than others. For some, they're older. But nonetheless, it's
not until God is finished. You know the phrase we've heard.
It was their time. You ever say that before? We've
seen it. We've got family memories, ones
we love and care for. Some of you have lost spouses.
And some of them were younger. Some of them were up in age.
And we know that ultimately, no matter how we look at it,
that life and death are given by God, and when God is done
with us, He will take us home. And no matter what we have to
endure and face, it could be a physical ailment, it could
be a disease, it could be a car wreck, it could be the most strangest
things that we can fathom and imagine, we all know we're on
a crash course with death, every one of us. It's inevitable. It's
going to happen because of the nature that we are, and we're
products of the fall. That is, we're children of wrath,
the scripture says. Products of the fall, sinful
by nature, and because of sin, death entered this world because
of sin. And all of us are going to die.
But we can testify for sure. Now we do believe that some die
prematurely. because of whatever reason. The Bible says there are sins
unto death. That means somebody was just
rebellious toward the Lord, they kept doing their own thing in
their own way, and God took them out for whatever reason. That
would be premature. We don't know that because we
believe that there's been young people that gave their lives
to Jesus, doing what He called them to do on the mission field,
spent for His glory that died at a young age, but they were
finished with their testimony. We can cling to that. I can cling
to that. That when I'm finished bearing
witness to what God has given unto me, God will take me home
to be with Him. Amen? And as these two witnesses
who were given great power and great authority and great strength,
Satan tried to overthrow them and conquer them and deal with
them untouchable, couldn't do anything with them until they
were finished. And then God released the enemy
to overcome them and to kill them, but it did not happen until
they were finished with their testimony. A shouting ground,
amen? We don't have anything to fear.
We don't have to fear death. We don't have to fear what's
coming. We don't have to fear the end of this day or tomorrow.
Why? Because we, if you belong to
Jesus, you've been covered under the blood of the Lamb. But you
can testify in this place today that God has let you continue
to take another breath, Mama Rob, because He's not finished.
He ain't finished with you, amen? Carolyn, He's not finished. Stephanie's
not finished. And He's not finished with you
or me. And until He is, there is no
fear of dying no fear of death or fear of what is to come because
we have been given authority to overcome the enemy by the
blood and by the word of our testimony our confession and
by our confidence that he's not finished with us amen we can
keep walking in victory I don't know about you but that blesses
me it blesses me to know he's not finished So I can do anything
He's called me to do because He's the one who's given me the
assignment, the testimony to bear witness to. And if He's
given it to me, He's given me the authority to do it. And if
He's given me the authority to do it, He's going to protect
me in it. And even if He lets harmful things or destructive
things or damaging things happen to me, it's because it's part
of the testimony that He's given. And He's still not finished.
And I just keep walking, plotting, one step at a time. Amen? For His glory. Father, we thank
You today. We give You praise. We ask that You help us, strengthen
us, encourage us, speak to us, help Your people live for Your
glory. And we'll be ever grateful and
thankful for it. If you'd stand, I'm just going
to read the words of something that I'd put on paper at one
time, and then we'll have our invitation. Revelation 12, 11,
our ladies will begin playing. The Scripture says, By the blood
of Jesus, they stood so strong. By the blood of Jesus, they sang
a song. By the blood of Jesus, they praised
all day long. By the blood, by the blood, victory
is won. By the word of truth, They shared
the way. By the word of truth, they saved
the day. By the word of truth, they plan
to stay. By the blood, by the blood, victory
is won. By the life of one, they gave
their all. By the life of one, they stand
so tall. By the life of one, they never
will fall. By the blood, by the blood, victory
is won. You are indestructible until
He's finished. Give Him glory.
