See how Jesus tells us of a monumental change in the order of the cosmos. This change is described by Jesus in verses 24-27 as a change in how the elect people of God are gathered to God for His salvation. Until Jesus came, they were gathered to God at the temple in Jerusalem. After Jesus came, they are gathered to Jesus who reigns in the clouds (26-27). Now that He has come, they are gathered from all nations in every place. What does it mean for Him to come in the clouds?
