A Completed Faith

At first glance, James' teaching that a man is justified by his works seems in direct conflict with Paul's clear teaching that salvation is by faith alone. Yet faith itself is not merely generic, intellectual assent. If works do not flow from faith, then it wasn't saving faith to begin with. Faith that saves is faith that is so life-changing, so powerful in the life of the believer that works will flow from it.
