Who Wrote the Bible & How Did They Know What to Write?

This question is answered in 2 Peter 1:21 with these words: "Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." Before we look at these two things in more detail, you might say to me, "How do you know that Peter is talking about the Bible when He says that holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit?" We know this from the context: "knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit."
