A Glimpse Of God'S Big Heart

Genesis 43 uses Joseph's account to give us a glimpse of God's big heart. The foundation of this truth is highlighted in Jacob's heartwarming prayer. "May God Almighty grant you mercy before the man, and may he send back your other brother and Benjamin. And as for me, if I am bereaved of my children, I am bereaved" (v. 14). This prayer does not only express Jacob's surrender to the LORD, it invites us to see a Character of God that we are often tempted to take for granted.

Here we are invited to see a God who has many ways of getting our attention and melting our hearts as He sets right all that has gone wrong in our lives!
