How Did David Love Jonathan?

A few years ago the daughter of a modern-day Israeli military hero, who was herself also a member of the Knesset, stood up in a parliamentary session and said, "King David said that Jonathan's love to him ... passed the love of women, and we all understand what that tells us about King David's sexual preference."
