The Second Coming of Christ

I love the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I would love to live there. From nearly every vantage point in Sugar Hill, you can see the towering peaks off in the distance. I wonder if you live there for a while will you hardly even notice them? Could it be possible for one to be surrounded by the majesty of the White Mountains and yet miss their beauty? I suppose it's not difficult for someone who is in it every day. Jesus made a promise to us. He told us that He would come back one day and take us to be with Him. This promise surrounds us like a majestic mountain. If we look up and see it, we will find hope. It will always be there. If it wasn't true, Jesus would have told us. Yet I wonder how often we fail to look up and see what He said. It's no wonder that we struggle to find hope today and we worry about life tomorrow. When we ignore His promises, that's exactly what happens. Look up! We have to see His majestic truth towering over us. Jesus is coming. He is coming soon. He is coming for His church. We as believers will always be with the Lord. Be encouraged as you watch, wait, and expect the day when Christ Himself will come for us!
