Considering Christ

It is easy for Christians to become weary and discouraged in their souls, ready to lie down and give up. The remedy for this is to consider Christ and the sufferings through which he passed, the bitter words, cruel deeds, and painful griefs of his life and death. We must consider his honour, innocence, dignity, service, courage, faithfulness, triumph, reward, and salvation. In doing so, we shall be enabled to press on in our own race of faith, looking to Jesus as our example and encouragement, as well as the Saviour of our souls.
