Infinite, Unsearchable, Unknowable

There are great delights to be found in spiritual intimacy; but also great dangers. Our church is greatly concerned about how so many in our day are so quick to run to a "naked" (to use Martin Luther's word) bare, pure God. Do we really want to "See Your Face," or "To Touch You Lord?" Israel learned about what this meant at Mt. Sinai. To see God's face was to die.
Romans 11:33-36 teaches us about a God who is Infinite, Unsearchable, and Unknowable unless he condescends to tell us about himself in such a way that we will not be turned into ash. Our God is, after all, still a consuming fire. Let us attempt to grasp what this means together in our study of this most amazing text of Scripture.
