By The Time The Cup Gets To Me

After acknowledging that there are different opinions regarding the procedures that were followed at the Passover and the institution of the Lord's Supper, our Pastor Emeritus reminds us that our Lord was a Person of transition. 1 Corinthians 11:25 suggests that a COMMON CUP was passed from person to person at the FIRST Lord's supper. Isaiah 51:17 suggests that by the time this "cup of fury" got to the first disciple after Jesus, our Lord had already committed Himself to drinking the wrath of God for all of us.
