The Supremacy of Jesus Christ - part 1

Paul now turns his focus from his greeting and introduction to the doctrinal truth of Christ's Supremacy over all things. This is the overarching theme of the book of Colossians. This message is the first of two messages regarding Paul's direct rebuttal to the Gnostic's false teaching of Christ being just one of a host of created "lesser gods." The apostle makes it very clear that Jesus is Supreme over all things seen and unseen including angelic beings. Jesus Christ is God's Son the second person of the Trinity and therefore He is Supreme overall.
