Song of Suffering

If you think a Christian is called to a life of peace, comfort and prosperity, think again. In context, Peter is addressing slaves who may be suffering under an unjust master and he has just told them to submit to such a master. Like these slaves, Christians are frequently called to suffer and here is a template for what to do in such a calling: follow the pattern set by Jesus Christ and in so doing, be reminded of His suffering on our behalf.
