Theoretical physicists have come
up with these scientific-sounding theories to explain the origin
of the universe and how it came to be what we see today. These
theories about how the universe began and how it took shape are
all in an effort to make it appear that the biblical explanation
is unscientific and fictional. Many will say that Genesis 1
is poetic and filled with metaphor and so forth. Now, we've taught
Genesis 1 in our Genesis Studies, and if you're interested, you
can find that on our website at bbfohio.com and click on Sermons
in the header menu, and then click on the link to one of our
playlists and find the Expository Study to Genesis link there.
And the biblical model works perfectly, but if you admit that,
then you're faced with the rest of the story. Accepting the biblical
creation account leads to the conclusion that the God of the
Bible is the true God. He is holy, just, and righteous. We, on the other hand, are sinners
and we're condemned in our sins. So accepting the biblical creation
account means that we must repent of our sins and our unbelief
and everything that stands between us and God, turning to God for
forgiveness and salvation. Wicked men don't like that idea,
so they turn to science, falsely so-called. Men have always come
up with the same basic model as an alternative to the biblical
account, whether you're a pagan Hindu in India or a pagan Greek
or Roman you know, a thousand years or five hundred years before
Christ, or you're a science professor in a secular university in Germany,
England, or the United States, or anywhere else in the last
couple hundred years, you come up with the same basic model.
Something was there and we don't know why it was there or who
put it there, but it's there and it explodes in some manner
to produce the universe and all life as we see and know it. Charles
Darwin borrowed his origin of species idea from his grandpa
Erasmus and Darwin's grandpa Erasmus got it from the pagans.
Thus it was transported into science texts in classrooms and
labs. And once the concept of life
springing into existence from non-living matter was accepted
in complete violation of the settled scientific law of biogenesis,
which demonstrates that life cannot come from non-living matter,
then the question was obvious. Where did this all begin in the
first place? Life came from non-living matter,
but where did all of that non-living matter come from? How did our
planet get where it is, situated in that Goldilocks zone in the
perfect distance from the sun for the size of our planet, which
a perfectly situated moon in a solar system that is perfectly
situated within the Milky Way galaxy so that we can see outside
of our galaxy into the universe? How do you explain all of that?
Well, that's what necessitated what are called the cosmological
models of the origin of the universe. And as we pointed out, the Big
Bang Theory is the big one. As one source explains, quote,
the cosmological model of the universe described in the Big
Bang Theory explains how it initially expanded from a state of infinite
density and temperature known as the primordial or gravitational
singularity. This expansion was followed by
cosmic inflation and a massive temperature drop. During this
phase the universe ballooned at a much faster rate than the
speed of light by a factor of 10 to the 26th power end quote Now we'll talk about how nonsensical
that statement is next time, but we wanted to point out that
all of this wild, nonsensical stuff being posited in the name
of science may sound scientific to the untrained ear, or to those
desperately seeking to believe it, but the reality is it's all
an attempt to explain away the Bible. to explain away the God
of the Bible and the future Great White Throne Judgment that's
scheduled to take place if that Bible is actually true. And it
is. Revelation 20.12 tells us the
future. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God.
And the books were opened. And another book was opened,
which is the book of life. And the dead were judged out
of those things which were written in the books according to their
works. If you're not saved by the blood
of Christ, by grace through faith, you'll be judged by your works
and thus condemned by your works.
As we see all of the nonsensical, anti-scientific nonsense found in the Cosmological Theories of the Origin of the Universe, including the most popular version called, "The Big Bang Theory," we can recognize a clear motive behind such attempts to refute and deny Biblical Creationism.
