Reading Redemptive History to Know the Future or WWJD, WDJD, and WWJD?
Series Romans Series
"For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that...we might have hope." So teaches Paul in Romans 15:4. Numberous other places make it clear that our hope is placed in the person of Jesus Christ. From these two simple truths we understand the key of unlocking the meaning of the Scriptures. If a person thinks that any text in the Bible is purely about morals ("how-to" sermons) or even purely about doctrine, but they fail to read the Scriptures correctly. God has given us an historic-redemptive way of reading the Scripture. If we appropraitely use God's own hermeneutic when we approach the Bible, it will make all the difference in the world to our spiritual lives. This sermon contains the key to having a healthy and vital spiritual life.
