• When people are trying to harm you or wreck your reputation, you can only trust that someday God will reward the just, vindicate the righteous and punish the wrongdoer. He promises to do so.
• All of us wish that God would instantly rush to our defense and make wrongs right. There is coming a day when all will be known (Psalm 35:7, 19; 119:78; Ecclesiastes 10:8)
• Many times a hedge in the Bible is thought of as a protective barrier or shield (Job 1:10; Ezekiel 13:5-8)
• The family is a hedge of protection for the family members
• The church is a hedge of protection for church members
and the community (Ezekiel 22:30)
• God does not stand still forever when people are spreading lies about others
• Or planting rumours
• Or plotting and devising the downfall of an enemy or competitor.
• It is only a matter of time before God puts the individual in the pit or crushes him with the stone that he rolled (Psalm 7:10-17)
• You can break your neck falling in the pit that you have dug for another man.
• You can be crushed by a stone that you have tried to roll over someone else (Psalm 9:15-16; Proverbs 26:27)
• Haman suffered grief, shame and humiliation
• He covered his head; his appearance was like one in mourning
• He likely walked into the first banquet with head held high. He probably looked like he was going to a funeral in the second banquet. He had no idea how much worse things were about to get.
• People that feel everything is against them should consider that maybe it is if you are you are not living right (1 Peter 3:12-14)
• The ruin plotted and devised for others will become the ruin and destruction for the plotter.
