Esther: God's Unseen Hand

54

Proverbs 13:21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.
• Man is in such a hurry; God is not in any hurry
• If living a life of sin—evil is tracking you down whether you recognize its sting or not. The payment for sin will catch up with you either in this life or the next.
• If living a right life, the good that you do will catch up with you too. Our problem is that we seldom see the spiritual connections.
(Proverbs 27:1).
• A certain truth from scripture: you just can't bet on tomorrow.
Haman is a proud man and the Bible has much to say about this.
Esther 6:1 On that night
• The night between the two banquets
• Maybe what happened to Vashti affected Esther's thinking and actions so that she needed the confidence from the first banquet and was not prepared to make such a bold move.
• This is the night the gallows are being built.
• The king can't sleep so he knew there was no better way to get some sleep than to have read to him "the book of the records of the chronicles." (the minutes for the last 20 years business meetings)
• Ever feel neglected when you have done something right or helped someone? Maybe you did not need the blessing that God had in store for you at the time but God knew one day you would need to draw upon that deposit. (Proverbs 11:2, 16:18, 18:12, 29:23)
Daniel 4:30-37 King Nebuchadnezzar abased for his pride
Luke 9:46-48
Haman was making plans for tomorrow. He is building the gallows to hang his archnemesis on the morrow. Punishment was tracking him down and just about to grab him. (James 4:13)
Remember the Bible does not waste any space with useless stories and God sometimes conceals things until searched out.
