Hold Fast and Draw Near

There is so much which stops us from drawing near to God– our sin, our fear, and our failures. But we have a great high priest in Jesus, the Son of God who has taken away our sin. What's more, no matter how wayward or ignorant we have been, for those who turn to him in faith, there is no reason to fear his wrath or condemnation– he deals gently with us. And, he knows what it's like to be tempted and weak. No failure of ours will stop him helping us.
So, there is no sin to keep us from God any longer. There is no need to fear him. And our failures will not stop him helping us. So let's hold fast our confession, and with confidence draw near to the throne of grace. It's there that we will receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
