The Life-Altering Transforming Power of The Devotional Bible Study Method.
The Devotional Method Project
Our course project is picking chapters to spiritually digest, using a method called the "Devotional Method of Bible Study". You should write a half a page summary, after you do each chapter, with these 3-parts:
Formulate a Title for the Chapter;
Jot each of the Lessons, truths, attributes of God, doctrines, or examples to follow that you found in the chapter;
Write out a prayer from you to the Lord, asking Him: to change you, to work in you, and impact your life by a personal application of the truths you found in that passage.
LONG TERM BLESSINGS
My Bible slowly gets marked up through daily study.
Then it is time to copy the best of all the truths into a new Bible every few years.
Each time I see my notes of past studies, those reminders trigger my memory.
Result: Every day in the Word stirs all we've ever learned in a lifetime of study.
