Do Not Grow Faint or Weary
Series Hebrews: Christ is Greater
43 ( 26 | 17 )
Having been called to run well, to run for that heavenly prize and for the glory of your Exalted Redeemer, the Apostle expands upon the ministry of Christ Jesus which continues to bless and benefit those who are still in the race, who have not yet received the prize. In order to run with endurance, we must be taught how to endure, and this is done through the discipline of our Lord, who for a time brings pain so that there might be, later on, the fruit of righteousness for those whom He has trained. Suffering and pain the race are not meant to be avoided or discouraged by, but seen as useful for the strengthening of our resolve against sin, turning us to righteousness and the call to live for eternity.
